International students – Required Documentation

International students and Italian students residing abroad must determine their financial status using the Equivalent Economic Situation Indicator for abroad (ISEEUP).

Each year, DiSCo publishes a list of authorised Tax Assistance Centres (CAFs) on its official website, where students can obtain the ISEEUP calculation. To complete this process, students are required to visit one of these authorised CAFs in person.

Required Documentation

Students must present the following documents, translated into Italian and issued by the Italian diplomatic authorities in their country of residence:

Family Composition: Names, surnames, and birth dates of all family members.
Gross Annual Income: Income earned by each family member in the previous year; any absence of income must be documented.
Real Estate and Movable Assets: Details of property owned as of 31 December of the previous year, including property size and any financial assets; if none, this must be explicitly stated.
Housing Rent: Amount of rent paid for the family’s residence.

Important Considerations

Submission Deadline: The ISEEUP must be filed within the specified annual deadline at an authorised CAF.
Accuracy: Ensure all information is accurate; any omissions or discrepancies must be corrected promptly to avoid exclusion from benefits.
Currency Conversion: Financial figures in foreign currencies should be converted to euros using the Bank of Italy’s exchange rates.
Legalisation: All certifications must be legalised by the Italian Prefecture Please note that self-declarations or affidavits are not accepted. Students are responsible for any costs associated with obtaining and correcting documentation. For detailed information and updates, refer to DiSCo’s official website.
