Promoted in collaboration with DiSCo Lazio, the Anti-Violence Center (CAV) dedicated to preventing and combating violence against women is active at the University of Tuscia in Viterbo.
To whom it is addressed
CAV caters to all women who need support to get out of situations of physical and psychological violence.
Services offered
Run by the “Women’s Bridge” Association, with decades of experience in the field, the Center offers free of charge:
- Listening and initial support through telephone and preliminary interviews to identify needs and emergencies
- Dedicated and personalized welcome
- Psychological care, including in collaboration with hospital facilities and territorial services
- Legal Assistance
- Empowerment and personal empowerment
- Support for minor sons and daughters who are victims of witnessing violence
- Orientation to work and autonomy
- Links with shelters, other anti-violence centers and institutions
- Pathways out of violence

Additional information
The Center also participates in training tracks in collaboration with the Athenaeum and DiSCo Lazio under the Gender Equality Plan (GEP) 2022-2024, promoted by the Inclusion and Equity service and the GEP team, aimed at recognizing and countering the cultural, social and psychological mechanisms underlying gender inequality and violence.
