When can you be considered an independent student?
You can only be recognised as an independent student if you meet both of the following conditions:
Independent residence: for at least two years you have been living in a house other than your own and not owned by a member of your family.
Income from employment: you have been continuously employed for the last two years, with an annual income from employment of no less than EUR 9,000.
If even one of these two conditions is not met, you will be considered a tax dependent of your original household.
In this case, your ISEE will have to be calculated by including the family’s income and assets, through a CAF that has an agreement with you, and within the deadlines set by the call for applications you are participating in.
